Hey! I’m John, an Aquarius, ocean lover based on the North Coast of Cornwall. I’m obsessed with photography, and count my blessings daily that I’m able to make it my life’s work. I shoot most days, my favourite subjects to photograph being people and flowers in a lovely daylight, so weddings are a place I love to create at.

With the intention to capture beautiful, joyful & kind weddings for passionate and adventurous couples; I deliver photographs that capture the energy of my clients, the story of their love & the wedding with empathy and calmness.

My approach is sensitive and I work gracefully amongst the wedding to capture the essence of the day with a timeless, natural and authentic feel to the photographs. I stay true to my instincts and sensitivity to light, atmosphere and story, photography that surprises, intrigues, and will last as a beautiful memory.

My ethos is that the photography should be about the wedding, and not vice versa; I will capture the wedding beautifully without turning the wedding into a photoshoot; I offer gentle guidance to my couples, to make the experience of making the photographs an asset to the wedding. I’ll ask you for a short amount of time to walk or drive to some nearby spots to make wonderful portraits, and make suggestions to the schedule based on the light and where the wedding is - I also love to make formal family portraits and pride myself on making these wonderful for everyone in them.

I’m not a hard sales person, and believe that the connection needs to be right for me and the clients I work with and so always like to have a good chat on the phone / video call before making a booking to make sure we’re all on the same page. I take a maximum of 8 weekend wedding bookings per year, and a similar amount of mid-week. To make this work I need to arrive to the wedding energised - you’ll find me totally transparent and authentic, I hold space for you to ask for what you need and to be met with a kind heart.

Booking for 2023 / 2024 now so why not send me an enquiry, let me know about the wedding and see where the wind takes us!
